The Appropriation (No. 4) Act, 2023, published on 24th December, provides for excess grants for the Union Government for FY 2020-21, amounting to ₹1.18 Lakh Crores, almost all of which was appropriated for Department of Food and Public Distribution, for COVID-19 relief efforts.
